Installing Marker IPT Wideride bindings

When installing the binding, I found that a piece of screw or insert that afix (secures) the binding to the ski is missing. Can someone show me what that piece looks like? And how can I get a replacement?

Contact the shop that you bought them from.  Tell it that you are missing the locking mechanism for the bindings.

It was online purchase from Christysport and I have sent them an email awaiting their reply.

Does anyone have such a binding and can show me a picture of that insert (locking mechanism)?

HKskier,

Did you get an answer from Christysports? I have the same problem and can't get an answer? I would appreciate your help if you know how to install them

thanks!

I have IPT Marker Wide Ride bindings on a pair of Volkl AC-50s.  But for minor color and detail variances they look just like the bindings in your photos.

Not sure what you're missing; there is the one screw that holds binding to ski (along with the tracks that it rides in).  Screw appears in your photo.  There is a solid piece of plastic with gear teeth on it that engages the two round gears visible in your photo.  Once heel and toe are adjusted to the correct boot size and the little 'door' is closed (it's open in your photos) the fixed teeth on the underside of the 'door' engage the two moveable round gears (one for toe piece and one for heel) and lock them in place so the heel and toe won't slide back and forth.

Let me know if I'm completely misunderstanding your question.

You're actually incorrect (no offense).  The screw he's talking about is needed to lock the binding to the ski (it's located between the "teeth" in the middle of the binding and screws into the red, pre-drilled hole of the ski).  The screw looks similar (if not, exactly) like the screw pictured just below the bottom set of "teeth."  Looks like he'll need to make a call or stop in to his local shop.
