New K2 Ski Boots

Thread Starter

I see that K2 is launching a new line of Alpine and Freeride boots coming next fall. Should be pretty interesting! The first new line of boots built from the ground up since the Salomon SX-90.

From the ground up in the sense that they ground up a pair of Dalbellos and then put them back together?

I will have some in my hands (and very well on my feet) on Tuesday. Pre-review to come.

Here's an article about these boots from SIA.

Ummmmm......................notsomuch.

However, the boot that they did copy was a Lange. Not to say that they don't have liner differences and a "more better gooder" walk/hike mode type thing going on but at least they did a direct copy of the current best selling boot on the market.

Now......whether someone that wants a performance ski boot will prefer that it say "Lange" on it or "K2" on it........remains to be seen............th_dunno-1[1].gif

Phil did a great job in that interview-review. It was very apparent he knew more about the product than the guys did presenting it as his insightful comments and product knowledge I thought caught them a little bit unprepared. to comment a few times. The boot is not for me but if you're hiking for turns it looks to be the ticket. Can't believe I remember ther first boot from the early 70's.
