Skinny heels boot problem and Sweet Protection ski gear

Hello!

I'm having a little trouble with my ski boots. This is my second season (in Verbier) but my boots are pretty old now and my heel keeps raising more than it should (I've got really narrow feet). Is there any way to fix this? I've also been getting a twitchy nerve on the top of my right foot - really weird! I've got lange boots. I was getting so fed up today I almost walked into one of Verbier's ridic expensive ski shops to get a new pair! Crazy.

On another note I just got a new ski jacket - sweet protection. Really like it! I review quite a lot of women's ski stuff on my blog so check it out...

Thanks in advance for any boot help, you'll be saving me alot of money!

Hi Becca,Welcome.

If your boots are to big you will be fighting a losing battle. However, have you got footbeds? Is there a bootfitter in your nek of the woods with a good reputation? My partner has narrow heels and a wide forefoot, our bootfitter was able to put some stiffer material on the liner around the heel area which kinda grips him better and stops the lift. Talk to a friendly fitter, he won't risk his reputation by making you buy new boots if he can work with your existing boots.

Go to your bootfitter and ask for an 'X pad' or 'C' pads. The X pad wraps around the back or the liner and around your ankle bones making the liner tighter lenghtwise overall and widthwise at your heel.. C pads wrap around your ankle bones and make the liner tighter widthwise at your heel.
