Using footbeds from other sports?

I've looked at Superfeet and others but they all seem to add heel height. I road and mountain bike and have some great footbeds in my cycling shoes made by Specialized Bicycles. They are thin in the heel like original inserts but they come in three different arch volumes. If they are wide enough to fit my Lange's 102mm last, could I use them? Also, they have optional forefoot wedges to cant the foot in or out.My bike fitter spec'd some to make my knees travel in a neutral path (straight, not tipping in or out) while pedaling. If the insert is ok to use, should I use these wedges too? This all might be a long stretch but thought I'd try. Thanks.

try them and see how they feel.  Might be too firm under the arch as cycling doesn't want/have any pronation, but skiing needs some?
