Hi all, my son is 7 1/2 and would be considered an intermediate skier for midwest conditions. We ski mainly Northern Michigan. He's 52 inches tall (47 inches to his nose) and weighs 60 pounds. Last year he skied on 112cm K2 Indy's and tore them up. They come in below his chin now and I was looking for new skis. We went to a local ski shop and they were suggesting Line Super Hero's in 123cm size. It seemed kind of big but the salesman was explaining that they should be bigger since they were twin tips.
My son loves all types of skiing from flying downhill, to finding random jumps, to skiing backward, and is now showing an interest in spending time in the park
Should I just have him use his K2's for another year? Sure they are small but he will be able to really control them. Or will he enjoy twin tips? I'm worried that 123cm is too long for him, what do you think?
Thanks for any help!
