Yes,that was my point. (My sweet little daughter can belch twice as loud as anyone else in the family, though.)

But can she belch the alphabet?  That's the sort of variety that college application boards are looking for; there's more to proper belching then just volume.  cool.gif

I would advise having her start by belching the word Ralph. After she masters this, she should move up to "liberty bell". Call me when she can say "Dwight D Eisenhower the third " in one belch.

Or is this off the OP's topic?

Thank you so much for reviving that thread, Trekchick.  I'm sure it will help move this discussion forward.

Perhaps it's time to do an MA on the movement pattern of that banana and how it impacts the center of mass!

And make it a discussion that applies to women skiers, of course.  Everyone ready for that one?  Is it appropriate?

I can burp with the best of them.

Wow this thread is going downhill.

I'm sorry but a website where skiing a run well is described by a (female!?) moderator as 'making it my bitch' is not a website that is welcoming to women.

Depends on the women. I ski with a few that would like exactly that!

Wow.  After reading all of these posts, I guess I am still confused as to what the big deal is.  Epic is a welcoming site, at least to me.  I do post here from time to time, I don't find that I always have the time to read more or post more because of my busy days, not because I don't feel welcome.  I have posted some things and gotten some great responses.  So to answer the OPs original post, Yes I think Epic is welcoming to women.  Epic is also welcoming to anyone who wants to join, post or lurk.

Rod seems remarkably at ease setting forth blanket predilections for women.

Seriously, you guys need to develop a sense of humor.

So now I guess you don't welcome gays or women...
