Believe Liftopia offers MRG for $40something and Stowe for $80 on scheduled March dates.  Three days at MRG that midweek are only $70something on Liftopia!

Weekdays at MRG are only $49 to begin with. To bad your not hitting Stowe later in March. They're having the same ski club discount days as I posted last year. 3/13-3/16 one day ticket $45, 2 day $66. 3 day $98 & 4 day $122 for ski club members. Sunday 3/17 is St. Pats day & they usually offer significant discounts for a day ticket for everyone.

Today is presumably the last day to get the Sugarbush quad-pack for $199.  Tempted to pull the trigger on that unless someone knows of a better deal likely to emerge between now and March?  Regular window price will be $89 W/E, $84 midweek, but lower pricing for e-tickets or Mt. Ellen- only, details here:  http://www.sugarbush.com/vermont-skiing-snowboarding/ticket-prices/lift-ticket-pricing  Not as low as quad-pack price though.

In March 2011 I got two-for-$58 voucher at City Market of Burlington, but that was for Mt. Ellen only.

Probably not for an unrestricted ticket.

If I'm not mistaken, as of today here's what Liftopia offers for this gathering's schedule:

3/2/13:  Sugarbush, 1 day $80, 2 day $150

3/3:  Sugarbush, 1 day $76

3/4:  MRG, 1 day $42

3/5:  Stowe, 1 day $80

Looks like I'll have one extra $50 ticket (my cost) for the 3/3/13 day at Sugarbush South.  Post here or send PM if interested.

Sunday is ski day for the lake Champlain regional chamber of commerce. Anyone whose company is a chamber member can get an unrestricted ticket for $15. I already have a pass, so I won't need my ticket, but will pick one up (I can get only one) if somebody needs a sugarbush ticket for Sunday. I need to register by noon on Friday at the latest, but I don't think I'll have to wait that long ;-) First PM to me gets it.

If I'm counting correctly on the "roll call" thread, it looks like we'll have 15 people at MRG on Monday, which is the minimum group size.

Has anybody bought MRG tickets via Liftopia yet?  I'm going to call them today and see if there is more to doing a group then just "showing up".

It's a decent discount if we can get it; walk-up is $49, lift-opia is $42, group rate is $35.

Just bought mine via Liftopia this morning.

My threesome is already set with 3 out of 4 day tickets at MRG for $74 from Liftopiaicon14.gif

But I have still have an extra $50 ticket for Sugarbush South on Sunday (not looking like such a good deal based on Slow Eddie's very nice offerredface.gif).  I wonder if Slow Eddie's news means we'll see a big mob at SB on Sunday?  Not that I'm too worried about it, we could always migrate to SB North for crowd avoidance.  Are you guys doing tours through Slidebrook?

I went for the Liftopia single-day at Sugarbush for Saturday - $80 is a decent deal.

Can't wait for the cheaper tix out in my home state, tho....

Our Sugarbush guides are going to be cometjo, Slow Eddie, songfta (if needed) and myself (if desperately needed).  I know I sure won't be taking anybody through the Slidebrook Basin (unless somebody wants to do the "see how badly we can get lost" experience...).  cometjo might know his way through there.  Or did you just mean riding the Slidebrook chairlift?

My MRG guide (snowbowler) has indicated that he may or may not be able to make it, so we might be "on our own" for MRG,but half the fun of MRG is poking around anyway.

Stowe guides are going to be freeski919 and myself.  freeski919 works there, and I know where the entrances to a lot of the "unmarked" stuff is as well, so -- assuming we have ski legs left come Tuesday -- we should be able to go as mellow or nuts as we want.

Sounds great. I was thinking the basin, but just a dumb tourist question. I have no idea what I'm asking for with regard to Slidebrook terrain difficulty. There are many regular runs at Sugarbush beyond my skill level. Encouraging words from 2/28 MRG homepage: ...we got tagged with 4-5" yesterday and another 6-8" overnight here at Mad River Glen. Over the past week we have seen 26" to 33" of new snow that has transformed the skiing conditions here on General Stark Mountain...conditions are at their peak! It's truly peak season here at Mad River Glen...come on up!

Moat of the Chamber folks stay at South; I don't think we'll notice a particularly big bump because of them.  The Chamber didn't do their usual excellent job of hyping it up for weeks beforehand, either, so turnout might not be that big.

I, like a few other Vermonters, picked up a lovely undiagnosed case of pertussis (whooping cough) at the very begnning of the season, so I've been dragging ass through a lot of half-days on the hill.  I can sweep with the best of them, and lead folks who want to cruise, or maybe even tackle some of the mellower tree runs.  But it's not going to be a bell-to-bell chargefest for me this weekend.

Speaking of crowds, school vacation week was this week for a lot of Vermont communities.  Sometimes you see more kids on the hill, sometimes not if the the families want to get out of Dodge to somewhere warm.  But Town Meeting Day is on Tuesday, and that means most State jobs, and, I'm fairly certain, UVM, has the day off.  That may very well mean a few more folks at Stowe than a typical Tuesday.

Hard to miss me - Asian, blue jacket, red pants, green boots.  I will definitely ski Saturday morning; we'll see if my kickball harem convinces me to blow off the afternoon to go to the Mardu Gras parade back in Burlington.  And I will be out Sunday as well.  Beyond that will depend on how hard I ski over the weekend.

Still available. Send PM if interested. Otherwise, I'll probably offer to a stranger in the parking lot Sunday morning. (I may not have internet access after today, but KevinF has my cell #.) We're in for peak conditions!

Sounds like the kind of day I'd like to have! Actually, the only kind of day I'm capable of. :)

I'll try to look you up.  Saturday morning, I'm meeting Mr. Crank first to take advantage of his spare tickets. So hope to hook up with the gang at the second meeting at 10am. Will be there Sunday too.

Ok, I'm the conjugate of you: Asian women in red jacket, grey/red boots. Probably dark red pants (or black, depending on what the temperature feels like).

I already have my MRG ticket, but I also have a buy one/get one. So if there are 2 people that need a ticket, I can probably help.
