Cuff adjustment on Atomic Redster

Hello Boot Guys,

I'm familiar with the traditional cuff adjustment.

However, I'm not familiar with how to determine the best cuff rotational canting adjustment on the Redster.

Would I be correct in assuming that the inward adjustment is for duck-footed folks (whose feet are always rotated out relative to tibial rotation?), and that the outward adjustment are for pigeon-toed people?

I have a pair of these boots coming for testing and excited to play with the possibilities.

So generally speaking, those who walk duck footed do so the knees will track straight as the walk.  Those who walk pigeon toed do so their knees track straight.  So should we make the cuff track to accommodate or correct knee tracking?  I would guess a boot cuff that track outward would help a duck footed person roll their skis onto an inside edge?

the other thing this is being used for on the race circuit is to change the way the boot reacts, Marcell Hirshir (i am told, by someone high up in Atomic), has the cuffs internally rotated 5mm for Sl so that the boot reacts quicker

What I find interesting is that apparently the cuff can be rotated 6 degrees outward, but only two degrees inward (talking about the new rotational alignment, not the traditional).

I wonder if that was based on common anatomical varieties, or more skiing purposes.  Yet that (lateral rotation) would deliver power to the outside edge, no?

on the rotational plane it is moved the same amount in or out, the hardware to do it is simply reversed and in the box is supplied 3mm of rotation and available as a spare part is 5mm they were going to offer 5mm as standard but it is actually quite difficult to get the 5mm hardware attached

So is this cuff rotational adjustment something to play around with and see what you like?
