Been planning a trip to Colorado in February. Airline prices are what are driving this trip. Never been to Colorado, but have skied Utah and Big Sky Montana. I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I am a fairly advanced skier from the mid-west. We love to ski the open bowls and am looking for a mountain that gives us the opportunity to ski some really nice black diamond bowls, NOT DOUBLE black diamond bowls. i.e. if you have been to Big Sky, the Liberty Bowl and the regular bowl is what we lapped for most of our days there. Any suggestions? Would like to stay close to Denver since we will only be skiing for 2 days. Was thinking Breckenridge, but their bowls seem to all be Double black diamond rated.
