Does the Kinetic Energy Retention System's piezoelectric chip lose it's ability to convert kinetic energy from the bending ski into electricity?


Tungsten in light bulbs burns out when all of the electrons have lost their ability to emit light upon a move to a different energy state.




Also, does the decamberization that is consequent of bringing the waists together during storage activate the electric chip?



Is the electrification of the KERS chip during maximal flexion of the skis enough to create an electric current in the skis?  If so, is this a closed or open circuit?  The steel laminates as well as edges would be ripe conductors of electricity, so I'm wondering if the skis become electrified during turns?
