Advise on what skis for traveling West

We have done only Eastern road trips so have no experience skiing West. I need some advise on what skis to pack for Park City over the next 5 weeks (until just before X'mas) for a jr female capable skier.

Both of these are twin tips and one is slight more advanced, a bit longer with a wider waist. Will the condition at this time of the year make a difference which skis to use for freeskiing? Does it make sense to travel lighter (since there is so much more to haul already)? Should we save the "better" skis for the core season. Or, am I making a big deal out of nothing?

Here are the specific about the skis:

- Scratch BC in 160cmX(new); 90mm waist

- Roxy BroomStix in 155cm (used one year;. 86cm waist

Those skis are similar enough that I'd pick one and go with that.

Just to follow up...

Anticipating some good powder, I decided to send the wider Scratch BC. Unfortunately, because it's been unusually dry in PC, she's only skiing on spring-like groomers. With that, she claims that these skis ski considerably differently than the Broomstix. Faster on edges but stiffer and harder to turn hence less fun so far.

Once it starts dumping, things can change.
