I'm not sure I totally understand this article, but it looks like Epic Pass is adding Eldora?

Eldora and Vail team up on a season pass deal

Vail once owned Eldora Mountain Resort. But the resort leviathan and Boulder County’s only ski area have not united since 1991. That changed earlier this month when 50-year-old Eldora and the largest resort company in the country joined forces with a pass deal for college students.

Vail’s $549 Epic Local Pass – good for unlimited skiing at Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, limited skiing at Lake Tahoe’s Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood and 10 days at Vail or Beaver Creek – now includes Eldora. The Epic Local Pass + Eldora is available to students with a current college ID at Boulder Ski Deals through Nov. 18.

“We know that students have very busy schedules and don’t always have the time for a full day of skiing and riding. We partnered with Eldora Mountain Resort on a season pass offering designed to give students greater convenience, value and variety,” said Vail Resorts spokeswoman Kelly Ladyga.

The deal adds yet another resort to the Epic Pass that has united competitors like Copper Mountain and Winter Park and more recentlyCrested Butte and Telluride in an effort to combat Vail’s popular multi-mountain pass.

Interesting. There's no info on Eldora's website, not even the college page. I'd bet this is only for college students though.

Yeah ... that second paragraph says Eldora is now on the Epic Local Pass. Then it says it's a college thing. Not clear. But I think you're right ... show a college ID and they will add Eldora to your Epic Local pass. It's a good idea ...I don't think there is a college version of the Epic Local, but I could be wrong.

When did VR own Eldora?

Interesting article about airline flights, but I'm not sure CB will get a lot of traffic through Montrose. But we will definitely see a lot more resorts combining resources to fight the evil empire.

also curious and couldn't find on the VR EPIC site nor on Eldora; bought an Eldora 3 pack so i could do more than sit in the lodge as my 12 year old skier branches out to the dark side and learns to board up there this fall...of course already have our Epic local passes.

They mention college/student two or three times and only leave it off once, so my guess is that it is only on a college pass at this point...lets the Boulder kids get out for a couple of hours during the week while still going to the other resorts when they have a full day+

Here's an article from the Colorado Daily that is more clear:

Snow sports

CU-Boulder students can ski Eldora with Epic Local pass

The Epic Local Pass now includes unlimited access to Eldora for college students for $549. The pass offers unrestricted skiing/snowboarding at Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin and now Eldora, with some holiday restrictions at Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood. The pass includes 10 days at Vail or Beaver Creek with holiday restrictions. Students must present their current college ID at Boulder Ski Deals to purchase the Epic Local pass, or upgrade their already purchased pass to include Eldora. The deal ends Nov. 18.
