Salomon sth driver bindings better than s912/914?

I am wondering if the Salomon sth 12/14 bindings are significantly improved over the older s912/914 models.  I believe that the sth heel has the worm drive forward pressure adjustment, and that they eliminated the spheric AFD at the toe.  Are these or other things real improvements?

While the S912/914 and even the S900 series look very similar to the  current Sth, it is only the older Equipes that have a close link to the current bindings. The main difference is not so much the spheric AFD, that is part of it but more so the 5 vs. 4 screw heel heel on the Sth. The metal platform of the Sth is laterally much more rigid than the older 912/914 also more durable. This is really coming into play now on wider skis where rigidity is separating excellent/very good bindings from just the average ones. I have skied the same ski set up with both 914's and Equipes (Sth level) and there was a noticeable difference in feel on the ski.

Thanks for the reply.  Any difference between the sth 12 and 14 other than the din setting?

Sth12 DRIVER and Sth14 DRIVER are indeed the same, other than DIN. Sth12 OVERSIZED is a different toe.
