Are your images upside down?

We have had a few reports of a problem of images appearing upside down when they are added to a post. Tech Support sleuthed out the problem:

Even if you take a photo horizontally and save it, you have to take the extra step of saving a copy of the image that has the correct rotational setting applied before uploading it to your post or the image may get rotated.

I can tell you that isn't always the solution. I have saved them in the correct perspective and loaded only to have them load incorrectly. I think it may have something to do more of the vertical size of the picture in relation to the width.  any chance there's just a bug in the way it grabs images and interprets them?  is there a template that it wants to put images into?

Maybe they have an option in their camera whether to include or not include the rotation info in the pic and they've got that turned off?  I've never had that issue myself.

I asked to have one size on the site rather than asking people to select a size when they upload the photos, because a squeaky wheel complained about that. I will ask to see if that could have a bearing on this issue.

Some complained about being given a choice???

I asked to default to the largest size photo, because (I was told that) people didn't like having to click on the photo to see a higher res version.
