I picked up the Smith I/O recon's, the goggle are great, and the recon doesn't add noticable weight.
The Recon is a bit of a dissapointment, the screens they show on their website are the old system, the new system is very gray and kinda debbie downer looking (and no you can't choose to use the old system, it's gone), the playlist thing doesn't work with google music. I have no idea where the weather screens went I couldn't find them, and the screen is like looking thru a telescope, the middle is really clear but the corners are blurry and out of shape and the adjustment only helps a little. and the position is down, really down not really HUD like you would think it's more like looking directly at your upper lip.
They released an SDK (software developers kit) to make writing apps for it easy but from what I've read online there seems to be little effort on the Droid side.
This is all very new and I'm hoping the horse will catch up to the cart they thru down the hill. as of 11/19 the whole recon mod live GUI is a very broken POS, but I'm guessing by the first of the year that will not be the case. As for their support, I sent them a support request thru their website and have gotten no responce I'll try again today but so far they're 0 for 2.
