DIN Setting for Kids Ski

I got my son a new pair of skis that have integrated bindings on them. The skis are 128cm, he's 4'8", 60 pounds, 259 BSL and according to all charts that I have referenced, the recommended DIN setting for him would be 2. The skis came with Marker 7.0 bindings and 2 is the lowest DIN they can be set at. Is it recommended to put the bindings at the lowest setting? I have some Marker 4.5's that I could use from his previous skis that have a lower DIN range. I'm assuming that the new bindings at the lowest setting will be just fine, but wanted to double check. BTW, he's a level 2 skier. Thanks.

I would go ahead and us the binding at 2.  f you wasn't suitable to set it at 2, there wouldn't be a 2 on the scale at which to set it.  That binding when set at 2, if properly calibrated, will release at the DIN specified torque for a DIN of 2.
