Jacket/trousers were from end of season sales in Stadium (Swedish version of sport direct but better quality) Helmet (firefox) 2 year old model same place.
Base layers 50% off and 10% loyalty card discount from Captains cabin Canterbury (Helly hansen).
Fleece's last day of sales somewhere in the cotswolds.(can't remember where exactly-there was a river that floods often!)
Goggles-TK Maxx, should have been £55 but the pricing mistake was theirs so they had to honour it!
Gloves some wierd little camping store in Scotland, can't remember it's name or even the town North Face I think, they are in the BF's car so can't check.
The Windstopper IS North Face, from a stand at Freeze festival- the zip was damaged, just needed 5 mins with the sewing machine- I love that jacket I'd seen them elsewhere for £85.
Boots Captains cabin again, previous years stock on discounted day.
The skis (K2) were courtesy of Groupon and the poles were part of the deal.
Glove liners, silk, Army surplus store.
I only go in a mountain store on the last day of the sales, I can't help myself, I always buy something whether I need it or not! Frequently technical gear is available in garden centres/factory outlets/ma and pa style outdoor shops without the price tag BUT it is all a season or two out of date (I don't care) you have to rummage, if you NEED something NOW you will be lucky to find anything that you like in your size. Personally I prefer to spend LESS on gear and have MORE holidays.
