Welcome Alpentalics... and those from surrounding ski hills...  I didn't see a Washington group, and we should have one, so here it is.  Can't wait for a few more inches...

So on Sno-crummie's website, it doesn't show the base depth anywhere...  can you find it?  I want a countdown of inches until shred-time.

Also, I can't change a group name, so I added a description.... hopefully that'll help! :)

kthxbye

Try out skitiger.com  pretty good linking sight for western ski areas.

I don't trust their front page numbers but quick link you to pretty much everywhere.

Sweeeet... A Washington ski group =)... Although, I don't know if I'm welcome, having, admittedly, never skied Alpental. Then again, I learned on the Snoqualmie bunny runs and hadn't strapped a pair of sticks to my feet in an insane amount of years (like 15) until mid-January 2011.

Oh you are welcome for sure!!  Where do you ski now? :)

I never got the notice that there was a response!!... So far this year, I've skied Crystal once, Baker twice, and am going to hit Mission Ridge twice this coming weekend... I'll ski Steven's, Alpental, Big Sky, Bridger Bowl, Schweitzer, Whitefish, and, hopefully, make it to Bend to ski Bachelor, by the year's end.  I also would like to get out to Utah... but, we'll see if that happens =)

There we go! I was thinking about creating a Washington NW group but it is here already! I am in! Let's hope that more people join and maybe we all can organize a mini gathering of some sort. If not that, at least we could show around our home Mt to each other when visiting. I never had a chance to ski Alpental or Crystal (shame on me). By some reason, I've been hitting east side a lot, Silver, Schweitzer, Mt Spokane etc.. some good skiing and some great people (epic members) are there!

I also ski White Pass a lot, that MT. has something that keeps me coming back. This season Mission Ridge pass holders and Alpental / Summit pass holders have an exchange program where we can ski free during the week days. I am hoping to take advantage of the opportunity!

I have a pass at Snoqualmie/Alpental this year and my hubby and I are taking advantage of the Mission Ridge option in March!  We plan to retire to van travel life, but currently just have Subarus... so anyone have any good ideas about where to stay at Mission for a few nights on the cheap?

PM sent. Let me know when you guys there in March, maybe we will make a run or two !

My grandparents live there, so it doesn't get much cheaper than that.  But, there isn't lodging up on the mountain, you'd have to stay in Wenatchee... There are plenty of small hotels that are reasonably priced.  I have a ton of points with Choice Hotels so I typically stay at the Comfort Suites... Which is actually VERY nice by Choice standards.

Hey guys, this season have only skied Whistler, Crystal and have a pass at Snoqualmie.  While I've skied a few times in my life, this year is the first year I'm trying to take it seriously and just getting comfortable with a wide parallel.  My kids just started skiing this season which is why I'm trying to set a good example with helmet, lessons, and practice.  Plus I don't want them to get better than me so the motivation helps :-)

Will be back up at Whistler next month for a full week and can't wait.

Just FYI,  your pass at Snoqualmie gives you free mid-week lifts at Mission Ridge. Welcome to Epic and enjoy skiing!

Hmm...this thread seems to lack some activity, so here: It looks like Mission is going to get couple inches of new in next couple days. The "Powder Thursday" should be good. Anyone is coming up?

Hmm.  I wish Crystal had a mid week partnership with Mission Ridge.  I grew up in Wenatchee and enjoy going to Mission over the Holidays when I visit my folks.     We do have 10 days available through the Crystal pass at Snoqualmie and I'd like to do some skiing at Alpental.

How are things at Mission?  My son will be in Wenatchee for spring break and I thought I might sneak over there Thursday and we'd ski Mission.

OK...I will be helping chaperone a bunch of middle school kids at Alpental this week.  My small group of 4 will be mostly advanced skiers.    What runs/areas should we hit considering the upcoming weather and conditions?

Mission just got pretty good dump, but it looks like it is warming up this week. Groomers should be good.

OK...I'll probably make the decision Tuesday/Wednesday next week after looking at the conditions.
