Pretty Faces Product page is here if you'd like to add your review.  I am really excited to see this, but I have to wait a bit for it to show here.

The Boulder show sold out. Unfortunately, only other Colorado show is in Durango.

Can pre-order a DVD on the Unicorn Picnic website (click on Store).  Delivery date is not set yet.  Probably after December.  Pretty sure that Kickstarter Backers will get their DVD first.  Note that even they raised a lot of money via Kickstarter, that was not enough to cover all the post-production and roll out costs.

The closest showing to me is South Lake Tahoe and its on a night that I'm likely working.  I pre-ordered the movie and will look forward to watching it at home if I am unable to see it at a larger venue.

Marznc posted the link for preorder above.

Another review by someone who attended the premier in Boulder who obviously had a very good time.

Very cool.

The Tahoe City venue is a lot easier to get to for me than South Lake Tahoe.

I'll be putting the word out, for sure.

Not likely to happen unless a ski club decides to organize a screening.  I would guess that major metropolitan areas that aren't in ski country can be tough for screening because the cost of a space big enough can make it hard to even break even without charging a fair amount.

You do know that it's possible to pre-order a DVD, yes?

I ordered the digi download on their kickstarter. I just like to see these on big screens.

Makes sense.  Where does the Warren Miller usually show around NYC?

Not sure, I have heard of it being at one of the free spaces near Lincoln Ctr. TGR's new film "Almost Ablaze" is set to show at Webster Hall of all places.

MSP's "DOMY" is showing on Oct 30th at New World Stage.

I think they showed one of the last Warren Miller's at Mountain Creek last yr.

The good news is, I should be getting my link for the download ANYYYYYYDAY now....:popcorn

Another stellar review from the world premier, dated Oct. 1, 2014. Scroll down to the bottom of the review webpage to see the comments from the owner of the theater where the Canadian premier happened. He said "Every Outdoor Enthusiast Mom & Daughter(s) and Dads too, should see this film, and I'm sure it [Pretty Faces] will be a part of everyone's video library, in the near future."  Most of the proceeds from that screening went to support a program called "Girls Do Ski."

The Freeskier review includes a summary of the flow of the film.  Here's part of that:

"The storyline continues as the featured athletes talk about the skiers they looked up to as youngsters. An east coast segment segues into footage from Jackson Hole, where the athletes discuss what it takes for them to be able to live a life of skiing. They mention an assortment of odd jobs, from waitressing to window washing to firefighting. The film moves on to showcase the 2014 Nine Queens contest, along with a deep day of shredding in Brighton, Utah. The women also touch on some of the motivating factors in their careers, especially having been told that they were crazy for trying to be pro skiers and would never succeed—a lesson in determination and mental fortitude."

Unicorn Picnic Pretty Faces

I just found out that the showing is sold out.  Major, major bummer.

I'm sending out desperate pleas in all directions right now.  I really want to see this film.

I'd happily trade all ten or twenty of the TGR premiers I've attended to be able to get in to Pretty Faces.

They added a showing in the afternoon, something like 3:30.  Did you check that one too?

I'm not the only one who wanted to go to a sold-out showing.

Got an email from the theater just now saying they're adding an early showing.  The tickets are bought and we're going.  EpicSki's skiing-in-jackson's two young daughters are going with us.

Should be great fun and I'll post a review (and I'll keep an eye out for unicorns).

I'm out the door this morning but I'll post a review tonight, hopefully.  We saw it last night.

Long story short, "Pretty Faces" is a wonderful movie.  If you love skiing, I can't imagine how you couldn't love this movie.
