PLUM GUIDE AT bindings for sale (lightly used)

I have a pair of lightly-used Plum Guide AT bindings that I would like to sell.  I have skied these ~ 10 times for short, half-day tours.  I'm a lightweight, very conservative skier and have not stressed these bindings (I have skied them exclusively on the lowest possible release settings).  Asking $495 for these mailed within the lower 48.  They come with a set of new, unused mounting screws plus the original screws, and the leashes.  I will be happy to send photos to your email address upon request.

Interested but would like to know the following:
When were these purchased?
Where were they purchased from?
Why are you selling them?
What skiis were they mounted on?
Have you had any heel pin issues?

Thanks,

Great questions all.

When were these purchased?  I believe I bought them Spring of 2011 - I can check on this when I get home and have access to my receipts.

Where were they purchased from?  Bent Gate Mountaineering in Golden, CO.

Why are you selling them?  Because I am a "Pinhead"!

I tried AT skiing for two seasons, and I enjoyed it a lot (especially the light weight of the gear, and particular the elegance of the Plum Guides) but I find that I simply prefer tele skiing.  I spend most of my time skiing lift-served and accessing the side country.  I don't go on long tours so I don't mind the extra weight of free-pivot tele bindings.  And I really like having free heels.

What skiis were they mounted on?  I had them originally mounted on Volkl Kendos (177 cm) but then switched them to Dynastar Mythic Riders (178 cm) because I prefer the mass and dampness of the latter ski.

Have you had any heel pin issues?  No, I have not.

Correction: This pair of Guides was received from Bent Gate Mountaineering in October, 2011.

Sorry to be a pain but I'm new to this AT world and am in deep research mode. I was up at Backcountry Sports in Dillon looking at AT gear in person for the first time yesterday. Since you bought them from Bentgate I assume you maybe live in Colorado. I have a place in Vail and am up there right now. I probably have a similar Resort /side country profile as yourself but decided on pursuing AT over telly as i'm 61 but would like to do more side/back country(hard to teach an old dog new tricks). Are you in fact CO local and would it be possible to meet to look at the Plums. I was planning demoing some AT gear early this season. Of course I do expect you to sell to the first guy with cash in hand and don't want to delay your sale.

Jim,

No worries.  Doing a lot of research is a good strategy.  I'm in Utah, but I can send you a bunch of images of the bindings later, if you like.

Sale of these bindings is currently on hold.

Ok, no problem. I decided to drop out anyway. Since I'm planning on buying a complete setup after demoing some gear I realized that I would be giving up a 15% or almost $300 discount if I did not purchase everything from the same shop where I plan on demoing from.

Seldom Turns,

I would be interested if you still got 'em. My GF really liked the looks of the guides I just picked up last month, so now I'm on the lookout for a 2nd pair. Thanks.

Interested in trades? I have a bunch of good stuff. Id be willing to bundle, since plum guides are fairly pricey. Skis, Boots Bindings, All high end stuff. Lemme know.

Are your Plum bindings still for sale? If so, I'm interested. Any chance you're in Utah?

Sorry, but they have been sold.  Bentgate.com may have some, and Backcountry.com should have some next season.

I also have a pair of lightly used plum guides. Currently mounted on a pair of head monster touring skis (94mm width, 181cm length). Will sell bindings separately for $450 shipped or skis for $225 shipped (including BD skins cut for them).
