Sunday night was a great night to ski, with no wait on the lift line, near empty slopes, and a moonlit sky at the low 30s.
Saturday was the worst, especially when there are too many unaccompanied school kids who have zero skiing etiquette, whether it it on the line, on the lifts, or on the slopes. One of the unfortunate downsides of kids skiing for free.
I'll be back up there Saturday. I never have had too many issues as long as you stay on the diamond side of Cascade. Though you get a few stragglers that shouldn't be over there at all!. I did try Devil's Head this past weekend and it was absolutely awful. The base of the slopes didn't have enough snow to stick a pole into the ground. The snow conditions were crud, ice, dirt mix while cascade has had no issues. Hopefully this storm we have coming through will make for a good weekend!!
