Long story short -- how to figure out what I've got.

So the house we just bought was owned by basically the godfather of a local ethnic community, who's business was shut down & he and his wife were deported. So many awesome stories, but here's where I need your help. They left behind five sets of skis, and I think four sets of boots. I know absolutely nothing about skiing, except to spell it with two i's.

Anyway -- my main goal is to take the skis, clean them up ( I wont go into the stories about the racoons in the basement pooping on everything) and hopefully get them to Play it Again and not get bent over by a salesperson because I'm clueless.

The two that are least poop covered, I can make out

#1 Dynastar, Master, Omega and 170

#2 Pre , Precison, maybe M 43, 180 and I cant tell if the boot mount or the ski was made by Rohrmoser -- google says thats Atomic.

There are little numbers on the sides of both sets - Im guessing serial numbers???

Not being able to google anything, I'm at a loss but looking for help.

Anyone know how I determine what exactly Im in possession of ???

You could try to get everything clean and post some pictures here, it will be easy to others in helping you figuring out what you have in your hands.

Sounds like they are old, but not old "enough".  Hose them down and make Adirondack chairs out of them.

Ok, sorry it took so long -- stupid Hurricane Sandy made pressure washing quite enjoyable.

Here's link to pics of tops & bottoms of the skis.

Thanks again for any help.

You got nothing.  If someone is willing to take them away at no cost to you....thats a good deal for you, I'd take it.

Like they said, you got good material to make Adirondack chairs. They're not old enough to go above the fireplace, but maybe if you saved them for a retro themed ski day?

As others have said, these skis are now practically worthless.  The skis are old enough to probably have bindings that are no longer considered current so shops won't work on them.  However I have seen older equipment at Play It Again Sports, so you might be able to get $25 a pair for them if you don't have a conscience and don't mind some unsuspecting consumer buying your out of date skis that no one will work on.
