Buying Spyder Jacket from a US seller on eBay

I'm looking into getting a new Spyder jacket, but I'm also looking to not pay too much. I checked out eBay and I found a Spyder jacket from a US seller with 100% feedback selling the Spyder Eiger for $200. He seems to deal with Ski equipment primarily, and has 600 positive reviews. He is also only selling one Jacket in one size at the current moment. The jacket has an MSRP of $500 but I've seen it on websites online for $320 or so, just not in my size.

I search the thread archive and all the previous threads were about Chinese sellers. Most of the information on Google is on Chinese sellers as well. I'm not very interested in buying from a Chinese seller. I'm more interested in a US seller. I don't want a fake, but I also want to get a good deal. Does anyone have experience with US seller?

As an alternative, I found a website called evo.com selling the Spyder leader with my size at $250. Does anyone have any experience with evo.com? Finally since Black Friday is coming up, should I just wait and look on Black Friday? Would I find similar deals?

Evogear (evo.com) is cool.  I bought some demo skis from them and was happy with the transaction.

FWIW, there's plenty of fake stuff sold by Americans.  Just because it is a US seller doesn't guarantee that it is a legit product.

There is the listing. What would your call be? Yeah, I know US seller doesn't tell you if its legitimate, but I always felt it meant it was more likely.

Do do you have any idea what the Black Friday deals on Spyder jackets look like? Thanks for the tip on evo.com, I may just go with them.

The question I and quite a few others here have is "why do you want a Spyder jacket?"  There are other brands that are better made and better priced.  Although, if the jacket you found on ebay is genuine that might be a decent price.  I don't know where you live, but Outdoor Research in Seattle has a great sale beginning the day after Thanksgiving.  I've been to it the last three years and last year was the first time I didn't buy anything.  Great prices and I will take OR over a lot of other brands any day, including Spyder and I've owned two Spyder jackets and three Spyder pants.  OR also has a better guarantee.

Typically when I look at a site like eBay and bargain bin sites its easier to find/analyze more popular products. If you look for a smaller brand you don't find your size. That way if I find a jacket I like on a company's website I can pinpoint it on some sale site somewhere. I live in Colorado though so there are some pretty good stores local stores like Go Lite. I got a Spyder Jacket as a gift when I was younger and it was my favorite jacket, and I usually purchase products I liked previously. So I have some sentimental attatchment to the brand.

I googled outdoor research and their jackets seem to be in the same price range as Spyder. So I mean in this context I would look for them on eBay/bargain site too, meaning the original discussion is relavant. But thanks for the tip on Black Friday, looking at it I may just look at black friday deals on outer wear. I always get mad when I find out I could have bought something cheaper.

Update, I found out evo.com had $50 off with a $250 purchase. So I just went ahead and bought the jacket for $200 from evo.com, seeing as that seemed like black friday level of deal (60% off) seeing as it wasn't worth the risk to go with Ebay.
