Tecnica Inferno Blaze 2012 OR Atomic The Volt 2012...

Here's the deal. I have a narrow foot, I am 6'2" and 150lbs. I definitely need a narrow boot and both of these are. No matter which boot I choose, I will likely need a custom foot bed and heel insert. I have been to ski stores and tried on boots, and the best fit I have had came with those two inserts. I ski the frontside, backside, and typically hike a lot to where I want to ski.

My size is a 27.5... tried on a 26.5 but the shell is just too small. The problems I have with my current boot are: I can lift my heel when the boot is buckled, and I can also move my foot and lower leg. My current boot is the Nordica Sportmachine flex 85.

I definitely need a stiffer boot.

Any help especially with these specific boots is appreciated.

Thanks

Could you explain what a heel insert is?

Beyond that anyone that can ski and is 6'2" probably easily overpowers an 85 flex boot so I'd say "not the boot for you".  Too much time trying on without the benefit of a good fitter is a waste of time.

If your foot is narrow as the rest of you I'd start by finding a Head Raptor B5 and a Dalbello Scorpion WC.  Both may be tough to find but they are "B" width so may help.

odds are you DO need the 26, and in a narrow boot (like Lou said), and you are best to find a good bootfitter that can help you find the best boot to start with, and then do the custom work to make the best starting point even better.     that and a few more cheese burgers

Should not be that hard to find something stiffer and narrow for you at a store with good inventory and staff at this time of year...
