STARTHAUS: Armada Magic J opinions.

Since you guys are carrying it, I'm going to assume someone there has skied it. Just trying to find anything about this ski other than it being a fatter JJ with less splay, and contact points moved out. BTW contact points moved out kind of eliminates my main gripe about the JJ.

Anyways. Just curious as this ski kind of meets all of my wants for a soft, and deep ski.

Yep.....I skied it & your instincts are pretty good. Last year's test season was too thin on snow to have much more for ya as far as deep snow goes. I did ski it at Mammoth on a run that I repeat every year. It always has some rough snow, usually wind compacted with some soft stuff blown in. In this condition the Magic was more stable and predictable with more power in the belly of the turn. Not that this translates much to truly deep conditions but that's what I got.

Thanks for the reply, the more I look at this it really fits my wants for soft, cold, deep days/nights. I flexed them yesterday, and really like what I saw.
