Any Breckenridge/Summit County locals?

Hey guys just joined the site today. I just moved to Breckenridge a few months back for the ski season and figured I'd see if we had any locals on the forum. A-Basin is supposedly going to be opening up next week and I'd love to meet some other skiiers to hook up with to ski together. I'm a young guy but don't mind hanging with the older crowd. ;)

See you on the mountain!

Welcome to Epic and Summit County!

There are certainly a number of Epic Bears living here in Summit.  Sometimes we will post about meeting up (more often for special days or when other bears are in town) while other meet ups will be by PM, phone or standing arrangements.  There are also some Front Range bears who make it up here pretty regularly.

I doubt I will ski more than once or twice this month, but will try to keep you in mind when I do get out.

Matt

I've been a regular at A-Basin before Breck opens, but this season I'm going to give Loveland a try, I think. I'm told the crowd on the white ribbon of death is smaller at Loveland on weekdays. I'm hoping to exceed my previous season high total days on skis of 151. I was on target last year with 50 days before Dec. 27, when my season was ended by another skier.

Sorry to hear about that! Yes I'd imagine the opening day crowd at Loveland is probably smaller that at A Basin. 150 days is impressive though, I'm planning on skiing at least 5 days a week this winter.

NO, Loveland is rotten early season. You have to walk way far from the parking lot to get to the

lifts. And the lines are long. The food is very expensive and tastes like cardboard. And, it seems

everyone just straight lines everything...watch out! You are best to stick with A-Basin.

Just announced that A-Basin is opening up tomorrow morning. Anyone want to share a ride, IE pick me up on the North side of Breck? ;)

We  got about an inch last night. Should be a pretty good opening day and form judging by A Basin's webcams people are already in line.
