Gonna have to go to Alta more often this winter...

My younger daughter Daria just finished college and decided, wisely IMO, to spend the winter skiing. She just secured a job in the dining room of the Goldminer's Daughter Lodge at Alta. (Poor kid -- it's got to be at least a 200 foot walk from her room to the lift...) I have already instructed her on the importance of circulating often with the coffee pot during breakfast.

Smart girl! I wish I had done something like that. As it turns out there's plenty of time to have a regular job.

If only I could convince my son to take up skiing, move to Utah and take a job at a ski resort.....or for that matter to graduate from college.

One of the all-time classic ski-bum jobs.

I'll be at Alta for a few days in January... will report back on how frequently said coffee pot is circulated.  smile.gif

That is pretty tough Bob. Congratulations to you and M, nice job all the way around.

Alta instils a religious like devotion from its guests, and if she is a skier who consciously avoids all 'extraneous' activities because they detract from her time on the hill, or if you just like skiing steeps covered in powder, then she will love worshipping at the temple...

Chip off the old klacker.
