Suits for Guys

I am a sophomore on my high school's alpine team. I bought a previously worn Louis Garneau DH suit from a junior on the team. The suit is unpadded, and is yellow, white, and grey—bright colors. I don't' know how else to put this The suit is skin tight, and, guys, what do you wear underneath that's comfortable, and prevents a bulge of my 'pride' from showing? My parents reuse to buy me a GS suit.

Thanks.

Most races are cold enough that "shrinkage" may take care of the problem. Seriously though, you may want to look for a used GS suit-you'll miss the padding.

Aren't there underwear with padding?  Tops and pants?

stealth + dh suit is faster. Make sure you have some padding ... taking panels at GS speeds in just a DH suit hurts!

i wouldn't worry about it. if the suit isn't so tight that it restricts motion, you'll be fine.

Use an extra pair of socks.....

More seriously, normally I just wear an underarmor compression top and c-wx or underarmor bottoms under a padded gs suit. If it is an Unpadded dh suit, I use a spyder or Dianese stealth top and, if it is gs or slalom, padded shorts. I brushed a gate at speed in a superg last season without a stealth under the speed suit and believe me, it hurts! For gs or slalom you will find you definitely need some padding underneath a dh suit.

I go with under armor cold gear with a combination of football type girdle padded/un-padded, and shoulder/arm protecting gear.

Yes it's cold but the race is short and don't worry about your "pride" showing... nobody's looking at it.

PS GET PADDING OR PROTECTIVE GEAR FOR YOUR SHOULDER FORARM YOU WILL BE IN PAIN.  Legs, knee, hip padding isn't as vital.
