Cramps in arch of foot

Thread Starter

Hi.

Last winter I purchased a pair of Salomon Impact 100 CS boots.  The salesperson also sold me a pair of off the shelf footbeds to replace the stock ones - can't recall the brand - I think they are Superfeet.

I was only able to get in 3 solid days of skiing on the boots last winter, but each day I had intense cramping in the arches of both feet.  This is the first pair of boots I've owned in a while - in the past rental boots gave me similar problems, but after a few runs each morning, the cramping would go away.  Not so with the new boots I just purchased.

Any advice?  Dump the footbeds - go back to the stock foam ones?  try different ones?  Other tips?  Keeping the toe side buckles looser did not help.....

Thanks so much.

Best,

David

really impossible to say without knowing much more about your feet, but experimenting is easy.  Dump the footbeds and replace them with factory and see what happens.  Let us know, however is it possible the boots are much to high volume for your feet and you buckle them very tightly over the instep?
