Again, an amazing but of misdirection here. I never said that Laird Hamilton did not have a developed upper body. He does, of course, lift weights in part to help his very successful modelling career; surfing-wise he also primarily does standup paddle surfing (which develops your upper body more) and tow-in surfing these days, as opposed to prone surfing. I just posted, up above, a couple links to viddie of world-class surfers of both sexes. People can see their physique, it is what it is.
People can also check this thread, and see that I posted several times without controversy initially, and tylrwnzl, with no background as a skater or surfer, then jumped and called bs on a post where I'd noted gender differences in performance existed even for sports like skating and surfing that don't require much upper body strength at all. In keeping with this record of quality posting, he then talked down about women in auto racing, among other gems. Responding to that type of posting track record is not "wanting to win."
If someone thinks it is offensive to say that Danica Patrick has competed equally with men at the highest level of racing, certainly I apologize for any discomfort. I'm even sorry to have said that women fly fighter jets equally with men. Here we go: women can't drive as well as men, and Tony Hawk looks like a linebacker. That is not reality, but then several posters on here seem committed to something other than reality.
Meantime, Vonn still needs/wants a mellow course. She ain't a guy, no matter how some might speculate about her T levels. For skiing in the real world, that matters.
