How do you know how stiff of a boot you really want? - Page 3

harder snow -> stiffer skis -> stiffer boots

softer snow -> softer skis -> softer boots

agree?  disagree?

Being a ski quiver kind of guy, I also have been sporting a small boot quiver for the past few seasons.

On a four buckle boot, can't you simple change the flex by adjusting the buckles?  I had a level 4 ski pro tell me that he loosens the second buckle (from the top)when he wants more for/aft flexion in the moguls and tightens it up when he wants to stiffen it up.

This might allow you to determine what a softer/stiffer boot might feel like?

I have tried this and it works to some extent on my Salomon Impact 10s. But I am not that good that I can a huge difference in sking performance.

Cheers

J
