90 flex index for a ligh weight (140 lbs) yet strong skier?

I will quickly clarify; I ski a little place called Holiday Valley in western NY, but I am planning a Utah trip this winter.

I prefer moguls, glades, and anything to challenge myself.

I can ski with just about any one at this little ski resort except in the park or the iciest moguls. And I ski as fast or faster than anyone on the hill.

I am 42 years old and weigh 140 (5' 8")

My dilema is that I just bought new skis and then bought boots in the heat of the moment. The salesman said these Rossi Pursuit sensor3 90 was the perfect boot for me. Although I must admit that they fit my feet and skiiny legs exceptionally well, I am afraid that the flex is too soft for aggressive skiing and I will not be able to take them back after I experience this. Thank you for your input as it may same me some physical pain and atleast some obsessive second guessing.

Thanks Again

Bud

ps I think the salesman jumped to conclusions when I told him that I was buying the new S3's so I could ski more relaxed (I meant playfully) than with my old Volkl six stars ( which I love and will keep for icey days).

We obviously can't comment on the fit so will just take your word that it fits well and of course the flex numbers are just numbers and aren't at all comparable manufacturer to manufacturer or even boot to boot.  There is no standard flex index, however I'd say in general a 90 flex boot is soft for a 140 pound aggressive skier.  At our shop we try to err on the side of to stiff if there is a question since boots can within reason be easily softened, but making them effectively stiffer is a lot like rolling a boulder uphill.

TY. Now I have to see if I can return these unused boots I foolishly purchased!

Salesmen that jump to those conclusions should be avoided in the future.
