Current skiing conditions at St. Mary's Glacier in late September

A crazy ski instructor friend of mine went skiing with his dad this past weekend.  If you want to ski in Colorado right now, it is still possible.  Watch out for the rocks.

I think I'll pass.  It's a lot smaller than it was in the 70's?

It's usually much larger.   Just the result of an extremely bad snow season and scorching hot summer.  Hopefully it will be replenished this coming winter.

WOW. I was up there a year ago, almost exactly, and it was quite different. http://www.epicski.com/t/105466/st-marys-glacier-month-12 I didn't take many pictures of the snow, because it wasn't very pretty and everything else was, but it looked quite different.  I guess I'm not surprised, but it's weird seeing it.

(And, by the way, my monthly streak stopped at 20. I skied 1 May, and then gave up because I wasn't planning on traveling, and I figured by Aug and Sept St Mary's would look like, well, like it does.)
