Proving once again that air doesn't hurt...it's the landing.

Two observations:

 

  1. I wonder what the ratio is of the number of epic wipe-outs to clean landings you see in the great ski movies.  My guess is that clean landings are limited and they have to take three or four takes/jumps to get one clean landings.
  2. The climb back up to retrieve your gear has to be horrendous and searching for hats, goggles, sunglasses as well as skis and pole has to be a huge chore.  Imagine literally losing a ski?

Picking up after a yardsale seems highly preferable to dealing with a snapped neck/femur, ruptured spleen, punctured lung, crushed skull,  .....
