Don't blame them....they need the temps and humidity to be lower. MIGHT get there by mid week.

It's WROD until mid November anyway...

Skiing a 20 ft line of snow with 400 other yuppies isn't much fun! Get biking or hiking around your place (don't you live in Vail Valley?) and enjoy the fall. That will keep your mind off it.

Don't give up on it yet, SkiSafe. You may recall that we got a late start two seasons ago, too. Turned out pretty well, as I recall!

It will snow.

Nightly temps in the teens by mid week, it'll happen soon.  No Oct. 8 opening for Wolf Creek this year. :(

And the first bitching about how crappy the season is has started on September 30th!  This might be a new record!

I seen videos online of A basin that looks ok for october. looks like theres atleast one 800 foot vertical run...WROB is just fine for a month. What stinks is beaver creek and vail dont get a lot opened up until like christmas.

And also yes i do live in vail valley but i have a 6 inch travel bike. i only ride down not up. I have other ways of exercising. biking is purely for fun and is downhill/allmountain lift served. I ride uphille once in a while but you only get one ride down that way.

Im not blaming Loveland im blaming La nina. She just wont let up.

Wait, what do you want exactly?

The thread title is about Loveland and A-Basin not blowing snow.

The OP is about Loveland Pass not making snow.

You then say you want your WROD, but post a video of Loveland Pass backcountry???

You're all over the place! You've gone loco already!

Should have clarified. It just showing the snow early on.

And all i want is for snow to start falling consistently and for this el nino season to dump 400 inches of snow

I remember it well...golfing/hiking/biking into mid-October under sunny skies and skiing knee deep powder before Thanksgiving (and all the way through April)...a PERFECT WEATHER year.

A-basin and Loveland plan to start snowmaking tonight. Copper Mountain beat them to the punch as they started snowmaking last night Oct. 2nd.yahoo.gif
