Kastle MX 78's, 176 with KTI binding plate FS or trade

I need to get some pictures up but just a feeler here on my 78's. They are in very good condition but need a tune. KTI plate is exceptional. I just don't think I will end up using these but they are phenomenal skis. I would consider a trade for MX 88's in 178 or nice touring ski around 100 underfoot.

Damn it Finn, I offered you that exact MX88 for MX78 swap a few months ago. Your response was was something like "from my cold, dead hands". Hope your health has not deteriorated to that point.  Bumpfreaq will be skiing my 88's this season, I wounder who the lucky buyer will be on your 78's.

Sure Cash is king baby!  How about $400.00 plus 1/2 shipping to Ohio?

Wait - didn't I mention my 5 days of use 178 MX88's to you like a couple of weeks ago? I swear I did.

Nawww, yeah, I know I did. Or maybe that was another jacket. No, I know it was the Kastle's (and another jacket).

Man, and you would have got the "bud" deal.

Oh well, they're being delivered to some yahoo in WI today after he paid full freight on my eghey ad.

Now that Greg is buying back the Cochise's I could use a good ski like a DPS 99, TST, Ritual.....  soft snow centric, fun but capable of crud and wind affected....

Is there a binding included?  How much time on the skis?  What year are they?

Looking forward to the pictures.

A fair question, I'll await Finndog;''s response, but, my "over/under" on his actual usage is 2.5 days.

This past season, they probably were not skied at all.

The previous season, I think he only did one day in the East, and, my guess is the 78's have never crossed the Mississippi  so,

The answer is dependent on how many eastern days he did the first year, and, as he hates hard snow, maybe 1 day, perhaps not even a full day.

The 78's are trophy skis once they belonged to Finn.

you are too Kind Mike!

OK, they are in Steamboat and I did ski them 2 days last year  (that's half of my season :) )

yes, the bindings are included

total days, They have less than 75 for sure but probably around 50; I bought them from Phil as demos 3 years ago but they were pretty minty so hard to say but there's plenty of life in them. Anyone who buys my skis know I take good care of them. If you don't like them, you can return them. I wouldn't want anyone to have my stuff that didn't feel it was a good, fair deal.

I am back up in Steamboat next week for a while and I will post up pics. I probably shouldn't sell these.....

Truth.

Ha finndog that's funny, "I probably shouldn't sell these", chances are you'll try to buy them back. I'm trying to figgure something out though, don't you have a pair of 85 magnums coming, why want to trade for MX88?

good point but the 88 is a different ski. its still one of the very best ski's made IMHO.  seriously.

Jimmy,

You should know better than to question Finndog's reasoning for buying or selling skis. That logic is not necessarily the same logic that he freely dispenses to others, for example, it's ok for Finn to have quiver overlap as long as both skis are world class.

And, yup, Finn's gear is first class on the resell market. I'm living proof of that in jackets.

Finn, in UT we usually have a month or more of high pressure over the great basin every winter that will make you wish for a rad carver. Between that and the early season groomers, if you are skiing every day you could put 30 days on those boards with out trying.
