The Canyons, this a.m. sorry about the grainy phone shot, but you get the idea. I expect the Cottonwoods got some too...

Currently snowing on the higher peaks in CO too.

Yup,I have seen snow above 12,000 on a couple different peaks here in colorado. Nothing crazy tho. Look at the A basin webcam

It is the second week of snow on Mondays in CO...

Yeah - it's nice to see the mountains shrouded in clouds for a change.

 

And you're right ... looks like the Cottonwoods got some ...

I just moved to colorado. Is this a good sign? or should we have more snow above 12,000 by now?

No, this is normal. Any snow that falls now will melt. It's just fun to watch. 

 

And about that forecast, such a pretty graphic should be shared

uhhh yup im in avon and its raining...so its snowing somewhere tonight

 

I just cant wait till it becomes reality. even 400 people packed onto one run at a basin opening day will be suffice.

I drove up LCC, BCC, and the top of Guardsman today, nice to see some snow! Can't wait for my first season as an actual local.

It's 102f in Mecca, CA today. Still waterski season. I'm not being teased yet.

Excellent! Mount Evans sure looked great last night covered in snow.

 

Colorado looks real good for the next few days. Staying nice and cold with the snow line continuing to drop. 

 

This is near Telluride from 9/25.

All of you in the Rockies deserve it after last year's modified season. I hope, however, that the snow nazi in the PNW doesn't say, "no snow for you" after two consecutive epic seasons. We'll wait and see.

We named her Elvira, and she's dumping tons of snow on Tahoe and other areas around the west. By Monday afternoon Squaw had reported 12" and another 1-2 FEET could fall by Wednesday.
