Should I get new liners for my Factors or upgrade to the Scarpa Maestrale or Maestrale rs

Yo Boot Folk!

I have been hiking in a set of Factors since they came out. The boots are thrashed, but still ski fine. I need a new liner to make it through next season. However, I am thinking of just getting new boots since it looks like AT boots have really made some headway in the past couple years.

Any thoughts? Opinions? Are the Factors and the Maestrales fairly similar?

Thanks!

Two very different boots IMO, weight, design, plastics, liner

Zoo is correct they are very different and we can't know how they will fit you.  Try the Maestrales on I think you will like their weight compared to the Factors and you'll like their range of motion walking.  Up to you to determine fit with a good fitter.

as the guys have said it is down to

1 what you want to do, ski well down and walk up a bit, walk up well but not ski so good or trying to find the best compromise

2more important than point 1 FIT!!

you need to try boots with your fitter and discuss your requirements  to get the best options for you
