I am 21 years old, 6'3" 195 lbs. I used to be a very good skier as a child but i havent skied in 9 years due to basketball. But I recently moved to Avon, CO (beaver creek), and i am planning on skiing atleast 100 days this season. My skier level is only 2 but is very aggresive and charging. That was @ 12 years old so i expect even more so now. Probably leaning towards a 3 or advanced (comfortable down anything except extreme) by the end of the season. who knows
I will be skiing at Beaver Creek, A Basin, and Vail for the most part. Kirkwood for 3 days in X mas. 2 days @ jackson, 2 days @ Alta, and 2 days @ Ajax n Aspen Highlands.
I purchased a leftover set of 11/12 Line Blends. With some full tilt hot doggers. I love this set up for getting back to ski aggressively. but am afraid on deep powder i will not have as much fun as i could. Obviously not every day will be powder but i do live here now so i expect to ski atleast 20 pow days. Maybe im wrong, i dont know too much about powder. only what ive skied in stowe/smuggs Vermont.
My question is, if you knew you were going to be skiing powder and off piste alot, Is a 100mm waist Early Rise Line Blend good enough?
Or should i ball up and spend the $400 on a leftover set of Rossi S7 or K2 Obsethed? I also like the Bent Chetler and Armada JJ but i need something playful like the Blend, better for showin off in POW.
P.S. I bought the Line Blends for a decent groomer, and excellent stomper. Hopefully making for some great tree skiing with some hucks mixed in. But for Vails Back Bowls on a Pow Day or A basins east wall, idk if blends will Do
