Any diff between 2010 and newer MX88s

For all of the shop workers and guys who get to demo these regularly....I'd like to pick up a pair of used MX88s for an east coast driver.   I already own BMX98s which is my go to for softer conditions and I totally stoked on the Kastle stuff.  My sense is that the older 88s might have been a bit better tuned but I can't seem to find a pair at a decent price....so if I have to look at a newer model...are they the same?

Yes and no. The 2013 is said to have a larger cutout that lightens tip further, and an elliptical rather than dual sidecut that transitions a bit more smoothly. Seem to recall that dawcatching, who demoed the MX83 last spring (all the RX's and MX's are getting the upgrade) said that the ski felt a touch quicker but hard to say if it were that or the 5 mm narrower waist. I'd guess, as a first year out MX88 owner, the difference is very slight but perceptible. Kastle tends to make evolutionary changes. What's more intriguing IMO is that believe Kastle's saying the sidecut transition now also involves the tail also. Eg, deeper both front and back. If true, that could be noticeable.
