Interesting. I like the booster strap outside the shell. I leave the top buckle relatively loose but will cinch the booster strap down hard in the start gate. I have tried it inside but this works best for me.
For on/ off, I have found the atomis much easier than the dobies. I have also given up on the laces on the liner Which may be part of it. I have not seen any loss of performance without the lacing and actually prefer it
I prefer the Booster on the outside with a 3-piece boot (which of course has a separate outer plastic tongue), but with the 2-piece clam design I found that putting the Booster on the outside in front didn't result in gaining as much progressive flex as using it on the inside of the front cuff. The only thing I didn't like is that with the Booster on the inside it would mess with how the cuff gripped around my shin. Trimming away the top plastic solved that problem.
