Volkl Code Speedwall vs Fischer Progressor 1000

Anybody out there been on these 2 skis? Looking to buy something now while I can still get low prices. I'm from the east and ski VT and NH mostly. The ski I buy will be living on hardpack single and double diamond steeps. I want something that can handle high speeds on steep hard pack runs without chattering out. Coming off a Volkl AC30 and that would be my biggest complaint of this ski. Once you really got moving on it and then really dug the edges in, it would chatter out. Other than that, a great ski. Looking to avoid that this time around. Found myself at these 2. Tried the RTM 84 and wasn't great at hight speeds. Have heard from some people the Volkl Code has more intermediate characteristics. Basically looking for a watered down race ski that will handle high speed GS turns as well as crank out a few quick short turns when need be with razor sharp edges. Any advice??

BOTH OF THOSE SKI ARE GREAT. But the fischer may, be more of would you are looking for. You should as look at some on the inline race skis ( beer league skis ).

Thanks for the reply! Thinking the same thing myself. But for now am able to get a pair of the Fischers for $500 with bindings. Don't think I can go wrong.
