Hi!

Appeared an opportunity to go skiing to Italy...I didn't pay much attention to Italy before because usually I'm going by car and Eastern Alps is my destination...

This time it's a present for me... So I just have to pick :)

Livinjo, Val di Fassa, Val di Sole, Bormio. What I'm looking for...

1) Nice weather :)

2) Reds and Blacks

3) Some safe offpiste - forget cliffs, avalanches etc...

4) No crowds

5) Would be nice to see some forum members ;)

Which weeks should I avoid? No school hollidays, no national hollidays...

Check your calendar to be sure you're not going around Easter or Carnevale, otherwise slopes should be reasonably crowd-free during the week. Mr. Nobody probably a better person to parse resort for resort than I am.

Didn't know about the existance of Carnevale... I'll definately check the dates.

Avoid 16th-23rd february as that is English half-term. Avoid New-year.

Weekends tend to be busy but weeks can be gloriously quiet.

check Italian half-term dates, probably around Carnival.

enjoy!
