First snow

Thread Starter

I'm looking out my front window at the first snow of the season.  It's up fairly high, above 7000 feet, but it is nonetheless white and bright.  I know that the snow will be gone in a few days - it is still summer - but I can't help having the feeling that winter is coming and skiing will soon be here.  This makes me even more happy that I picked up a new pair of 11/12 MX88s yesterday at a smoking price to add to my quiver.  I know that this is silly, but anyway ......Think snowsmile.gif

Looks like Sunshine Village in August looks better than Tahoe did last Christmas. biggrin.gif

Forecast says we're gonna get some in Glacier NP today, too. Then, rain. But STILL! The idea of snow in August anywhere in the Northern hemisphere makes me a very happy man.

Where did you get the deal on the MX88's, by the way?  Local?  I wouldn't mind picking up a pair.
