Why I couldn't live there. (I'd visit, though. In the summer.)

That's for sure. I couldn't believe how close they came up to me. I couldn't tell if she was being friendly or was going to attack, like the demented woodland creatures on South Park.
People must feed them or something. I was using an 85mm lens, so not a super tele. There's certainly no shortage of deer around here in any event. Here is one with her buddy.
They're everywhere right in town. Our neighborhood is urban style and over 100 years old and they're in our yard constantly. They actually come to the road side and wait for traffic to stop for them. I think we need an urban hunt.
We have the same problem. Some of the local fools feed them. I can walk within 10 feet of them.
Whack-a-whack-a-whack! Cute little guy.
(Yeah, I wouldn't tell him you posted this on a national ski forum -- or I wouldn't wait until he's thirteen, anyway.)
good advice - then you can share it with his first girlfriend - he's bound to appreciate it.
