Columbia Facilities roto-brushing the campus for maximum glide.

Actually turned out to be a fairly significant amount of snow here in the Big City today!

Vermont

New Day New Snow No Wind. Sun. Rare.

Trying to get an iphone pic at 50mph and 10deg. People yelling to shut the window. Sometimes fingers get in the way.

Route 100 Vermont                                             Fresh Field Snow

Into the Gulch

Gets Kind of Dark in there.

Sugarbush        Birch Run                      Beautiful views from Sugarbush. At the top one sees Lake Champlain and Whiteface in the distance.

Trail to far right is Stein's after Stein Ericksen, SSD at Sugarbush 1964-68. He told them to cut it there. Great sustained pitch and rare width.

Nice photo.   Some kind of filter action, or is this light accurate?  (And ominous.)

Yes, I think it was the "transfer" filter on my Iphone.  It was by accident, but I like the way it came out...  BTW, it was still pretty ominous :)

I like it, too.  And the ominosity.

Looking out at Lake Tahoe from the top of the Waterfall run, with the top of the Gunbarrel chair dead center of the far hill. This iPhone pic really doesn't do it justice. Although there are many that are spectacular, this is one of the prettiest views at Heavenly!

Especially when there's snow!  ;)

The back yard.  Fire up the grill!   It's an epic Connecticut winter!

Nendaz today.  After a full day of snow yesterday, the clouds parted and the sun came out.  Amazing!

Some really great pictures here.  Thought this was a good one.  Have to admit I did not take this picture-my ski partner Jeff took this classic.

Beautiful sunny day in Nendaz, Switzerland yesterday.  The ski pistes looked fantastic but I decided to go snow-shoeing instead.  Lovely.
