WTB Skis for my Wife

Thread Starter

Hi All,

My wife and I are verging on expert skiers (single black and the odd double black) and she is needing new skis with bindings.  Does anyone have anything to sell?

                Thanks and Appreciated...Tom

Probably.

Do you know what she wants more specifically?

One ski quiver? Where are you going to be skiing?

Is she looking to complement a pair of skis that she already owns?

Little more info needed. How tall is she, what does she weigh, how athletic? Where do you ski, how many days a season? What terrain does she like, where does she need to improve?

Hi,

I have a pair of women's Rossignol Zenith Z3s, length 162, dimensions 112 tip, 68 underfoot (although I'm measuring it as more like 72), 98 tail, 14m turning radius.  This model is light blue in color.  I'm 5'5, 125lbs in case that's helpful for sizing.

They're all-mountain skis that I initially bought new in 2006 after demoing because I found them to be very responsive and handle well in a variety of conditions (cutting through crud, keeping an edge on ice, responsive in mogols and tight turns, stable on groomers, reasonable in powder).  I also found that they were a great ski to help me me gain confidence skiing more aggressively and keeping my weight forward.  I now find that I'm doing more backcountry skiing in deeper powder conditions and less mixed-condition, all-mountain skiing, so they're less ideal for that sort of terrain.

The skis are mounted with alpine bindings that are designed to integrate with the ski to allow more flex underfoot.  I'm open to negotiating on a price to find them a good home.  Let me know if you're interested, and I can send you some pictures.
