It seems like all the other big resorts are evolving and Killington is staying the same in the worst ways. The image it has is BIG but that is it. What am I missing? What do you think the future of Killington holds?

My biggest caution: I don't know how on earth they are measuring these things. A 183 barely measures 180. I would have purchased a longer pair online had I known this. But this is the only...

Killington is what it is, like it or not. The new owners thought they were going to make it into their own image of what they wanted it to be, but that didn't work out. But to be truthful, I don't know any more about the inner workings of the management than any other person on the street, even the local business owners on the access road up there don't really know what's going on with them. But I wouldn't expect anything to change up there anytime soon.

Well you have a classic stand off here: K wants to expand & shed a poor image. The locals see nothing of benefit to K's success as they are rich in property, yet impoverished in terms of $$$.
The population of Killington skiers are aging & there is no replacement in clientele. To offset, K pushes a hype- that ultimately results in an epic fail in terms of experiance for core skiers.
The access road is worthless in terms of service (by no fault of their own) as they lack the funds to improve upon their deliverables.
The resort is on life support, bc the locals are holding them hostage at the end of the road & @ the Zoning & Development Board.
Unless the 2 groups ever desire to end the bickering or the locals leave ( even temporarily to gain some perspective ) the mutual decline is intertwined.
