Any running Bears up for something different?

If by chance you're in the UK on June 16 you might consider joining us at the Ythan Challenge, an off-road adventure race in Aberdeenshire, North-east Scotland.

It's approx 10k - impossible to measure 100% accurately because of the terrain - and the course runs through a beautiful private estate which is usually closed to the public.

Competitors cross the river Ythan - twice - and tackle a range of obstacles including clambering over bales of straw, through crawl nets, and up some exceedingly steep and slidy hills!

There are showers, changing facilities and lockers at the sports centre where the race begins and ends.

We staged the event for the first time last summer and gots lots of enthusiastic feedback from the 70+ men and women who took part. It's not an elite event - all proceeds go to local charities - and we're hoping to attract 150 runners this time.
