"You kids stay offa my snow" isn't an accent.  It's how people talk and is perfect.

I thought it was a typo of my original.

It's a contest in the sense that the slogans are competing with one another, I suppose. The prize is to be on one of the 2012-13 stickers.

I took editorial license with "offa," Pete. I have a license to do that.

Hard to pick just three.  Needed 5.

Better than me that went ahead and chose just one! That`s the price you pay for not reading the instructions!

"....and coming out of the turn onto the straightaway, it's "The Site for Dedicated Skiers", a nose ahead of "You Kids Stay Offa My Snow".  Close behind is Where Winter Never Ends, just ahead of If Skiing Is Your Drug, We're You're Support Group.  It looks like an exciting photo-finish!"

I'm currently plagiarizing the Aussie Tri slogan of "Get out there...and treat your body like a rental car."

We would pick the site for dedicated skiers. I guess that's what happens when the forum draws the old crowd rolleyes.gif

We are going to do more than one slogan, loner, proving that we're daring risk-takers, despite our overall decrepitude.

Ya, I'll be surprised if many of the "offa my snow" stickers sell with the traditional graphics.  I'll buy them with the old man graphic any day though..

How would you make that into a (reasonably sized) sticker?

Any chance of it becoming a reasonably sized poster?

My suggestion is for MidwestPete to give us a high-res version that we all can take to Costco, Staples, etc. to have posters made for around $15. I doubt we can get them mass produced and shipped as cheaply.

probably true, it becomes a matter of economics. Its a very cool poster though. The "offa" part is the only thing I don't get, is this guy suposed to be an old Italian guy or what?

There was an old Scandinavian guy in my Minnesota neighborhood that totally yelled.. "Hey you kids.. stay offa my lawn EH?!!!!!!!!!!!"

should be just "off"....  IMHO

Offa is a contraction of "off of" my snow, so please clarify if the request is for, "You kids stay off of my snow" or "You kids stay off my snow"? Thanks.

Would we be able to do that legally even if it is possible? I mean, are we authorized to make stickers using the old guy if technically possible from a printer/graphic design perspective?

FWIW- second version  "stay off my snow".   (I had to read that several times to see the difference biggrin.gif )

"You kids stay off my snow"

"hey, you, get off of my cloud"   - It seems even the Rolling Stones could write a complete sentence, with subject, object and verb and adverb.

When I look at the picture I expect him to say "offa my snow" like he would say "get outta my yard". It isn't an ethnic thing but more of a gruff expression. He doesn't look like he just came from the Opra House. He looks like he "gonna" split some wood.
